From the Harvest to Christmas 🎄 Well, what a growing season it’s been! The weather certainly hasn't made things easy for us this year. We've had our fair share of wet, wind and generally difficult growing conditions, but despite all that, we've had a surprisingly successful harvest. The top fruit in particular has been exceptional . Our plum trees have given us a fantastic crop, and we've also had a really good harvest of apples. It's always satisfying to see the fruit we've nurtured through the year eventually making its way into our kitchen — and, of course, into our jams, chutneys and other preserves. The polytunnels are another story! They were badly damaged in the winter storms and, despite our best intentions, we still haven't managed to get them properly recovered. It's now firmly on the 2027 jobs list . There always seems to be something else that needs doing first on a smallholding! And now... Christmas! We're already turning our thoughts...
